About

How the "ÄKKI SÄKKI" came into being.

As a passionate photographer, I always have my camera with me so that I don't miss any special moment that I want to capture on camera.
Sometimes it has to happen very quickly.
That's why I usually hang the camera around my neck so it's within easy reach. I've found that conventional camera bags rarely allow for easy and quick access. They're also usually too big and bulky to always wear around my neck. Because I still didn't want to do without a certain amount of protection for my valuable camera, I looked for a practical solution to the problem. I wanted permanent, light protection for my camera without having to give up being ready to take photos at any time. Without a case, the camera would be constantly exposed to environmental influences such as dust, dirt and moisture and would rub against clothing, which could cause wear and damage.

Since I couldn't find a bag anywhere that met these requirements, I developed a model myself.
A lot of research, testing with different prototypes and technical know-how were necessary to implement the project.
My family and friends encouraged me to do it. I was able to draw on specialist knowledge, find a particularly suitable material after a long search and then, with professional support, design and have the final ÄKKI SÄKKI made.

The result: The “ÄKKI SÄKKI”!

ÄKKI SÄKKI is Finnish and means “fast bag”.
If you use the ÄKKI SÄKKI, you can leave your camera packed away until the decisive moment. Nevertheless, you are ready to react to any spontaneous moment and take a photo in a matter of seconds, whether you are walking in the woods with the dog, strolling through a flea market or meeting friends in the park. The ÄKKI SÄKKI can be removed from the camera in no time at all and can also be put back on quickly and easily. You can even use it as a protective pad if you put it down for a short time.
In addition, the ÄKKI SÄKKI is very inconspicuous; hardly anyone would suspect that there is a camera inside.
The ÄKKI SÄKKI is handcrafted locally in Berlin in a small company for a fair wage.
